Here at Batik Indah in Lostwithiel, we offer unique handicrafts from Java and Bali in Indonesia. We are a family-based business and have strong links with our suppliers. We specialise in unique giftware and handicrafts from Indonesia, spending many weeks of the year sourcing new lines. We are responsible for our own buying: We like to go to the workplace and see the conditions in which the craftspeople are working. If we are not happy, we simply do not do business. The majority of our suppliers are small businesses, employing family members and people from their local community. This means that the fair price we pay our suppliers is channelled into the local economy.
